BUTTER FIRM, CHEESE QUIET

The market for New Zealand butter in London is firm, according to the weekly, cabled report received today by the. Dairy Produce Board, and wholesale, prices show an increase of 2s a cwt- fbr the week. The cheese market is quiet, with prices unchanged. Wholesale quotations for butter are: —New Zealand, salted, 83s a cwt, and up,' to 84s for exceptional quality <Whiph' equals approximately 9.59 d a lb,. f.0.b.); unsalted, 81s to 83s; Australian, 82s; Danish, spot, 98s (market steady).
