TWO STOWAWAYS
REMAND FOR INQUIRIES

AUCKLAND, This Day.
Walter McCann (37) and Edwin Hart (31), mechanical engineers, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court this morning to stowing away on the Ruahine at Wellington on April 1. Sub-Inspector Fox said the men were discovered a day out on the voyage to England. They worked well and were put ashore at Panama, where they were in custody for 15 days. They were sent back by thfi steamer Cambridge, which arrived at Auckland last night.
Both men were remanded for a week pending inquiries.
