CYCLING FEAT
A notable cycling performance wat registered recently by Mrs. Lachlan (Miss Norma Starbuck), of the Essendon Ladies' Amateur Cjiling Club, in reducing by 19 minutes, the women's cycling record from' Melbourne to Wonthaggi, a distance of 88 miles. Riding through almost continuous rain, Mrs. Lachlan covered the' long journey in 6 hours 40 minutes. She was a victim of inftintile paralysis - when a child. She was a cripple for seven years and walked with the aid 'of crutches. Cycling has helped her regain the power in her legs, although there is still a slight difference in their sizes. . .
