NOTES
The readiness of the Wellington Hockey Association to help its subassociation, Horowhenua, financially in connection with the match against the Indians at Otaki has been much appreciated and the Horowhenua Association intends to make repayment at an early date, the "gate" having been an excellent one for the size of the district.
A new high scoring record, 22-2, was made by the Indians when they met Manawatu on Wednesday. It appears, on good authority, that the tour ists were determined to score as many goals as possible, no doubt having their own reasons for so doing. Probably one of the reasons was that Manawatu had not previously been defeated by an overseas team, and during the 1926 Indian Army tour they held the visitors to a draw, 4-all.
