BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.
A most .enjoyable.entertainment was presentedto a very large and enthusiastic audience of seamen and friends at the rooms of theI'British Sailors' Society on Thursday evening by Miss Hazel Martin's pupils. Each item:; was received with applause,.the performers having to respond to numerous encores. Some very clever solo dancing was given by Misses Judy Cooper, ,■ Shirley Adams, Ailsa Wells, Aileen Boat, and Masters Keith -Woollett and Williams. The items by the baby class were much enjoyed. At the conclusion a vote of thanks to Miss Martin ■ and pupils ;was carried' with acclamation, supper was served by the members of the society,' and the evening was brought,to. a close1 with the singing '.of the National .Anthem. Miss Martin, was the accompanist.. , ■'■ \ ,
