The Waikato Trotting Club's Winter Show Meeting is being held at Claudelands today in ideal weather. There was a good crowd present. The track is slightly holding. Results:— Novice Handicap. £75; 3.5 class; 11 miles.—l4-10 Derby Fame, scr, 1; 3-4 Parochial, scr, 2; 5-5 Kia Kaha, scr, 3. Scr.: Great Chum, Electric Bell. Threequarters of a length. Time, 2min 59 sec. '
Newstead Handicap, £100; 3.49 class; H miles.—l-1 Meadow King, 48, 1; 3-2 Captain Bolt, scr, 2; 8-8 Nelson's Glory, 3. Scr.: Nelson Luvan. Half a length. Time, 3min 38sec.
