HUTT DEBATING SOCIETY
The Hutt Debating Society held its first meeting of the season this week. There was a large attendance of old and new members. The. election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr; Walter Nash, M.P.; president, Mr. F.M. Renner; • vice-presidents; Messrs.' H.: Bt Marshall and B. Weybourne;. secretaryi Mr.:L..V. Fisher; treasurer,/-Mr. W\ Benton; committee, Messrs. D;' Bentoni H. Higgins,1 J. B. McCallunyand V. H. Piper. ' Next week there is to be a debate amongst members, the subject being, "That Increasing Armaments! Tend to Promote World Peace;"
