Lady Astor,. MJEV is going to Istanbul, to ioin the British delegation to the twelfth congress of the International Alliance of, Women for Suffrage and Equal Citizenship. Equal enfranchisement,' equal status, and education in citizenship are among ithe: aims of the alliance, and the congress is de^ voting a;%essioiiV,'at which Lady Astor \yiU speak, to _the status of women via.der different forms of government. : "Ladjr ,Astor also intends to take the opportunity of studying at first hand the altered position of women in the Near East - -•■.
