.. The staff of the Women's Unemployment Bureau, Wakefield Street, assembled to make a presentation to Miss po^oo-' organising secretary, who left *? take up *he &ositt?n of almpner^at Wellington Hospital. The followmg were P^sent: Miss Brand, Mrs. > Miss 31igh, Miss Jewellj Mrs. McNamara, Miss Bulkley, Miss Lud-fotd>-and Mrs. Butler. Miss Brand presentedi Miss Gordon with a travelling TUB on behalf of the staff, and in the course of a bri^f speech said: "I am sure I voice the feelings of all present when l say Miss Gordon's departure will create a void Which it will be very difficult to fill, if indeed it .ever can be adequately filled." Miss Gordon, in thanking those present for their gift, paid a high tribute to the staff in her remarks,- stressing the co-operation and help.which she said they had always gvven her. -; ' Later-in the evening the'girls and women employed-in the-kitchen and workroom' at- the occupation-- centre, Wakefleld Street, met to do honotfrto Miss-Gordon^ the organising secretary, on .the becasion of her leaving to take up the'position bf atooner to the-Wei; lington Hospital, to which she has been appointed. Mrs. Tronson, supervisor of the workroom, presented M&fGordon. on behalf of those -• preseriV with a brown leather handbag) accompanied by very, good wishes for her' future. Miss Gordon replied in a trlfe r little speech, and seemed'very delighted at the eyident.'signs of good will shown
