The accommodation provided for the people was totally inadequate, said Mr. Ranson. The position at Oriental Bay, one of the most popular beaches, • was' one of grave concern. There, was total lack of facilities 'of any description. It was an everyday occurrence during the summer to see.young people driving away- in wet garments, which must have' a serious effect upon ■ them. Labour if returned would review the whole position.
