C. 8. Dempßter, a- former Wellington and New - Zealand cricket representative, is likely to be playing against the South African cricketers in the second official match of their tour. He has become attached to Leicestershire as the county club's financial secretary, and though not yet qualified to play in championship matchesL for Leicestershire he is eligible for. special matches, one of which frill be with the South Africans, commencing today. Dempster played for Scotland against the Australians last year.
