ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
ROME, April 18. At the Italian tennis: championships Canepele, a young Italian, defeated H. Hopman, Australia, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. The Australian Davis Clip players, who practised for the first time today, play at Monte Carlo on April 26 and 30, but only in the doubles and mixed doubles. They will then proceed direct to Eastbourne for the Davis Cup tie against.New Zealand.
