DEPARTMENTAL CHANCES
The various administrative activities in connection with the booking, welfare, and entertainment of passengers, which have up to now been carried out by different departments of the head office of the Union Steam Ship Company, will in future be combined under one passenger department. This department will have multifarious duties, interesting itself in such diverse matters "as talkie pictures, cruises, church services, ships' newspapers, round-the-world tours and local excursions, dance music, advertising, and libraries, t6 mention only a few* Mr. H, F. Norman, who has been* in charge of the company's publicity department, will administer the new department with the title of general passenger manager..
Mr. M. B. Miller, of the head office at Wellington, has been appointed chief assistant to the management.
