TWENTY GERMAN SKELETONS

PARIS, April 9.
A grim battlefield find was made i» ( a wood near Chaulnes. A gamekeeper'*1 dog suddenly disappeared in a hoi* Investigation revealed that this led t* an underground gallery, roofed witlit sheet iron. A skeleton wearing %^ German shrapnel.helmet was found oft/ a seat of earth with a rifle withi*] reach. Nineteen other skeletons ofj Germans were then found. Apparently they were imprisoned by a shell which} closed the entrance to the sap during the bombardments in September, 191TJI and died of suffocation.
