Hvons and an anthem specially favoured by MrScott were sung, and-llr. Hicharda referred to the numerous activities of Mr. Scott in civil and military life. He had been a popular padre with the lorcea, and'an active chaplain in trie territorials. -tfhile' divine a &reat deal of tioe to hia, church, he had also interested himself in the relief of distress and civic affairs. It was, largely due to hi 3 unflajsging energy tJvit the jubilee memorial gales had been erected in front of the church, and other improveaienta carried out.
