A message from Pittsburgh says that Colonel Roscoe Turner has announced that plans are under way and a special aeroplane is being built for him to make a flight round the world at the Equator next autumn.

The machine will be capable of a speed in excess of 400 miles an hour in the stratosphere, through which the aeroplane will .make its 25,000-mile flight. Clyde Pangborn and Miss Nichols are expected to accompany him. . ■ •
