ANGLO-POLTSH TRADE

BENEFITS OF TREATY

LONDON, March I.

In regard to the Anglo-Polish trade agreement, the balance of Anglo-Polish trade has been heavily against Britain, and the Government anticipates a substantial improvement in exports to Poland. Polish duties on wool and textiles are reduced in varying amounts of from 5 to 50 per cent. Poland, besides continuing to enjoy most-favoured-nation treatment in the British market, will receive tariff concessions for various kinds of timber, pit ponies, and poultry, and guarantees against increased duties on woodpulp, bacon, ham, butter, eggs and tinned meats.
