CHRISTCHURCH, 'March 1.
j Values were weaker today at the third j Christchurch v.ool sale. The demand was | erratic and passings were heavy, approxiI uniting about IS pet; cent, of the catalogue. The wool was heavier iv condition than at the previous sale, but. makI ing allowance for this, the market was | easier on an average from '/id to %d a : pound. Singularly, it was the big properI tion of average halfbreed. w.ool that was most affected. Though erossbtcd was weaker, it was not in the same proportion as hiilfbred, while on the other hand merino of- quality sold freely at little in value. Top price of the sale was secured tor merino at 14 J/£d, the best C'orriedaie figure being- 13Hd. Germany and Japau bought very little, and the bulk of the wool was taken by Bradford and Francechange in value. Following are'thc range of values:— ■ 1 Jan. 28. Mar.l. - ■ d; ,].■: d. ■ d.
