On her tour of relief to the Cook Jslands the Government steamer Matai was expected to arrive at Rarotonga this morning. She is carrying building material and supplies which will be taken to the islands affected by the recent severe hurricanes. As nearly all of the islands in the group are without wireless communication, the Matai is making a complete survey of them, and is not expected to return to New Zealand for five or six weeks.
