RINGSIDE'S FIRST WIN
1 Ringside, the winner of the Awakino Hack Handicap at New Plymouth last Saturday, is a three-year-old brown gelding by Potoa from the Birkcnhead mare , Molleen Oge, hence, he, iB a halCbrother to Crubeen (the dam of Cottesmore) and to Limeen. He» is' owned' by one of his breeders, Mr. A. F. Aldie, and he is 'trained at New Plymouth by H. Dulieu. Ringside did not race as a juvenile, but he had a couple of starts early in the present season; and then during the.: holidays he ran a third in three more starts. On the first dayi he was one of those who failed to go off in the maiden, but he was always among the leaders on' Saturday and finished too well for the first day's winner Panloff. . On bis latest showings he may develop useful form. .
