The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that on lue whole, competition for lines of ewes offered at'the ; Alli-edton sale was fairly keen, but the prices realised wcic not iiuito up to expectations. Owing"to'the long spell of dry weather, the condition of the sheep generally was not upto the standard of previous years. There was a good yarding.l Competition was fairly keen and prices were a trifle down, especially in lambs. .Store lambs realised from 8s 3d to Bs;7d; fat ewes, 13s 3d to 14s 6d; rams, 2% to 3 guineas; fat cows, 325, 6d to £2 15s; vealers, 27s 6d to 355; store cows,-15s to £1; bulls. 12s 6d to 255; sliorn black-faced lambs, 12s 3d.
