RANDOLPH LYCETT DEAD

LONDON, February 9., The tennis player Randolph Lycett died suddenly on the island of Jersey. Randolph Lycett, who was well known in Australia and New Zealand, was chosen in 1911 to represent the former country in the Davis Cup, but was unable to accept the' invitation. Great as was his Singles play, it was as a doubles player and mixed doubles player that he was best noted,, winning in these events at Wimbledon and other important international and Australian tournaments. He ' also played for several English Davis Cup teams. A few years ago he married Miss Joan Austin, sister of H. W. Austin, the English international tennis player.
