THE IRISH ARMY
Under a new order approved by the Irish Free State Minister of Defence, all British non-commissioned officers now serving in the Free State Army are being compulsorily retired at the end of their period of service unless they can show they, have had service in the Irish Republican Army. Large numbers of n.c.o's, many of whom have families and some of whom have served in the Free State Army since its formation, are affected. ,
