The enthusiasm, of the spectators and also of the girls taking part was; striking; iu;,fact, it was outstanding. It is no exaggeration _to say that their showing was a credit to themselves, to their instructors, the sports director (Sergeant-Major G. P. O'Leary), and to the officials of the association. Mr. C. Stone, chairman of the executive, in addressing the crowd through a megaphone at the end of the programme,- referred to - the work put; in by. the, girls/arid their instructors," and thanked them on behalf of the association.
