THE TEA MARKETS.
According to private advices received in Wellington the tea markets at Colombo, Calcutta, and' London this week were a little irregular for common teas, but very strong with an upward tendency for good teas. Quality is improving.

Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auXn. of January ,29:-"At yesterday's action of 1,500,0001b, medium and good Sty teas were firmer, while the market for common types remained about i£J?« last week's rate Next week', sale is catalogued for 1,710,0001b.
