Many friends will hear with interest that Mrs. Edward Pcnrose-Fitzgerald (formerly Miss Isabel Wilford) haß given birth, to a daughter at Lima, Peru. Mrs. Pejiroso-Fitzgcrald is the only daughter of Sir Thomas and Lady Wilford, who are'visiting New Zealand, and are staying at Heretaunga at present.

Miss Irene Wilson, principal of Queen M.irgnret College, who has been spending the vacation with her mother, Mrs. J. .11. Wilson,. Cashmere, Hills, returned to Wellington this morning.

Miss S. E. Kershaw, acting principal of Wellington Girls' College, returned from a holiday in Auckland to Wellington to meet Miss Groig, who has returned from England.

Mrs. F. L. Webb, who has been spending six weeks in Wellington with her daughter, Miss Jocclyn Webb, will return to Christchurch early next week.

Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Wilson, Geneva, who have been staying in Christchurch, will come to Wellington at the ond of the week.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Mills have returned to Southland after a holiday in Wellington.

Miss Mary McLean, Christchureh, has returned home from a short visit to Wellington.
