"The Times's" Tchoran correspondent states that tho Persian Government has taken a'dislike to the woid "Persia" or "Persian," claiming that as it is derived from Tars, which is only a proViiico of Persia, it docs not properly rcpi'osent. tho countiy. Therefore "Iran" and "Iranian" aio being- substituted. Foreign embassies and legations are being notified that tho change will occur on the Persian New Year Day, March 21.
