- (By Telegraph—Press Association.)
CHBIBTCHURCH, This Day.
Strong criticism of the conduct of the Chatham Cup competition and the interclub premiership of the Association football game in New Zealand was made at the annual meeting.of the Thistle Club. The criticism followed the'presentation of accounts in connection with the 1934 final between Auckland and Christchurch Thistle at Wellington. The statement showed the net gate takings as £149 and the two clubs' share of the profits as ISs 8d each.
Mr. P. Donaldson said that for the two finalist clubs to receive only 15s 8d each after paying £2 for the privilege of entering tho competition was ridiculous. '
. After a discussion the question of the club'» future attitude towards • the competition was referred to the incoming committee. .
