YON SCHLEICHER CASE

Despite several weeks' negotiations .between Herr Hitler and the Reiehswohr generals regarding the late General yon Sehleicher's rehabilitation, General Goering is determined that the name of the murdered general shall not ,bo cleared. Interviewed by a Nazi newspaper, General Goering. accuses yon Schleicher of seeking to engineer a revolt on January 29, 1933, the day before-Herr | Hitler took office as Chancellor. General Gocring's statement has revived the bitterness existing before illcit Hitler promised the army leaders to clear the name of yon Sehleieher. General Goering doubtless guessed the storm the interview would cause, as he has left .Berlin for Poland, leaving Herr Hitler and his colleagues to face I the music. General Goering is hunting in the Bialoweiza forest in East Poland, where .elaborate precautions .are being taken to protect the visitor from possible assassination.
