No. 7 level: Noith branch Martha lode. Have inteisectecl vein 9in wide at 555 feet. The course is 18 degrees true north and the dip 1 in 3 north. The assay value is Is 6d a ton. Macetown Developments repoits for pcuod ended December 19:— Iv my last report I referred to a lode in the hanging wall o£ No. 1 lode. Development work proves tins to be the true hanging w all. ' Driving in an easterly direction the tunnel has .been advanced 11 feet; the lode averages 30 inches in width cairjing high \allies for full distance, the face being 20 inches wide, assaying 3oz 12dwt per ton. Work is pioceeding without interruption during the holidays. TALISMAN DUBBO.

' Talisman Dubbo, Kaiangahake, lepoits: Talisman No. 1 level: i)n\e south wjs [advanced 2Jtt, total 473 ft, average width 38m. The drive has joined up with a drive which many years ago was commenced on the southern side of the mountain and followed the -Maria lode for api proximately 30011. The difference ot level at the point where the duves meet 'is about lft. The present face ot the dnve to the south has encounteied an old rise or small stope which has collapsed Retimbeung will be necessary befoie chiving can be continued. Stoping: Fiom 200 ft south to 267 ft south the lode is \erj uregular and narrow. At 249 ft the lode is 27in wide and of good value Some improvement is appaicnt at 267 ft south, the lode being Oft wide. Mclntvie's Joader: Rising on this leader has advanced to 22ft above the level. Dubbo level, stoping. The stope extending from 200H north to 245 ft north, 20ft above the level, shows good quartz on Ihe footwall of the lode. The width of the lode vanes from 6in to,sft. ■ MAHAKIPAWA. Mahalapawa Goldfields, Ltd , reports for the period ended December 19 as follows.— The1 blocking strip,.6oft north of tiun-off to No. 2 shaft, wag taken out for anothei 7 feet and stopped, the bottom having risen right up to the back. The blocking strip on west side ot No. 4 east ciosscut hog been advanced a further 22 feet in good grade w a»h . carry ing heavy gold 18in up trom the bottom. A blocking strip was commenced off the soiith-webt prospecting drive, about 20ft from where it left No. 11 east crosscut, and driven for 10ft ;n poor grade wash and stopped. A further 'strip m being commenced opposite the above. About 2ft of sott bottom is now showing in the face and the wash contain* a fair .propoition of large stones, ,but is of low grade. JSo. 2 shaft- This him now been completely drained to approximately 106 ft from the surface, at which level the prospecting drive holed through. We have still a few feet to drive to complete the connecting of No. 2 shaft with the present workings. When this is done our ventilation will be much improved and we will have a second exit which is later to become the main haul.** ohaft. it is hoped that tins will be connected up before the holidays.

MOUNT MORGAN CAPITAL. > At an extraordinary meeting of shareholders in Mount Morgan, Ltd., held on December 18, unanimous assent was given to a resolution for the increase of the company's, capital from £200,000, divided into 800,000 shares of 5s each, to- £200,000 divided into 1,000,000 shares of 5s each. The increase is to be accomplished by the cieation of 200;000 shares of 5s each.
