VANDALISM IN PARKS
CHRISTCHURCH COMPLAINT
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. "It is impossible to stop, stealing in the Botanic Gardens," said a member at a meeting of. the Christchurch Domains Board. ."We'have had | wooden ,fence posts, chains of fencing wire, plants out of the big garden, and flowers taken. The whole thing is on the move. We have to post men'in various parts of the parks ;{o do nothing else but keep watch. We must try to stop this The chairman, Mr, H. K-itson, said: "There are more vandals in Christchurch to the square inch than anywhere else I know of. In some cases the vandals even pull whole flowers' and leaves off cyclamen." The matter was left to the committee.
