CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHHISTOHUECH, September 7. The semi-finals-of the women's hockey tournament were played today. In the morning, Canterbury A and Piuahine, who ..had finished equal in the section play, met to decide which team' should, enter the semi-final round. Canterbury A beat Jtuahine.by 2 goals to 1.. Jfai'lborough, which had drawn a bye in -the Semi-final, played Central Otago today. The game had no bearing on the championship.' Central Otago won by 3 goals to 1. The semi-final match between- Eastern Southland A and Canterbury A. was won by Eastern Southland by 4 goals to 0. - ■ •■ Eastern Southland, play Marlborough-for the championship tomorrow.
