THE JONES METAL COMPANY, LIMITED
Evidence, of the return of confidence in the business community is. submitted in the fact that practically the whole of the issued capital »of £IO,OOO required by the newly-formed The Jones Metal Company, Limited, was subscribed in Wellington last week by persons well known in the commercial community. The new company has acquired as a.going concern the old-estab-lished business of Jones and Co., Ltd., noa : ferrous metal merchants. The following have, been elected directors:—Messrs. J. E. Kirk, M.B.E. (director, A.P.A. Assurance Association, Ltd.); John H. Owen (director, Sharland and Company, Ltd.), Walter McLay (director, Bryant and May, Bell and Company, Ltd.), and Will Appleton (director, N.Z. Guarantee Corporation, Ltd.). Mr. George Sutton,■ F.P.A.N.Z., has been appointed secretary, and Mr. F. H. Bass, F.P.A.N.Z., auditor. At a meeting of directors held subsequently, Mr. J. R. Kirk was elected chairman and Mi. Will Appleton vice-chairman. Mr. E. A. Allan was appointed manager of the new concern.
