NEW ZEALAND LOYALTY
A VISITOR'S IMPRESSIONS
Sir John Sandeman Allen, a member of the House of Commons, who recently visited New Zealand, writing from London on July 30 to the Editor of the "Evening Post," states: —
"At the Garden Party at Buckingham Palace last week his Majesty honoured me with an interview, when I had the opportunity of telling him of the wonderful exhibition of loyalty, both among my hearers and in the Press, when I explained to the people of New Zealand not merely the wonderful recovery Great Britain had made since the National Government came into power, but the perfectly constitutional assistance given by his Majesty the King in the hour of our dire need. His Majesty wa3 very much touched and said he well knew from other sources how perfectly loyal the people' of New Zealand were." Dr. C. E. Bccby, executive officer to the New Zealand' Educational Research Council, has returned to C'hrisfchureh from a. visit to Australia for the purpose of stfidying the work of the Commonwealth education research organisation."
