Commander Evangeline Booth, daughter of lhe Founder of ihe Salvation Army, nnd at present Army leader in ihe. Uniled Slates, lias been circled General of the Salvation A liny to succeed General Higgins on his retirement on November 1. Five nominations were made at today's meeting of the Salvation Army High Council for the leader of the movement to succeed General Higgins. Those nominated were: — Commander Evangelinc Booth. Commissioner Catherine Booth (Britain), daughter of the late General Bramwell Booth and niece of Evangelinc Commissioner Hurren, principal of the Army's International Training College, once office boy to the Founder. Commissioner Mapp, Chief of Staff. Commissioner Lamb, C.M.G., of London, well known for his work in connection with emigration.
