LONDON, September 3. On account of further rain, play in the cricket match, Australia v. an
England Eleven, at Folkestone, did not begin until 3 p.m. on the second day. The wicket was easy, and consequently Chapman, captain of the England Eleven, o>: winning ,the to.-ss, elected to bat. Before slumps were drawn ISti runs had been made i'or thu loss uf three wickets.
ILoLbs and Walters, by delightful play, raised 52 runs in 40 minutes. Fleet wood-Smith hud more than once troubled Walter.-;, :uid he then bowled him.
