FLAMES FOR MILES
There was an unbroken front of flames extending over three miles of heath and forest land between Churt, where Mr. Lloyd George has a farm, and Frensham, Surrey, one night in July, and more than 200 villagers and the Farnham Fire Brigade were engaged in extinguishing the outbreak. All day a Royal Air Force aeroplane reconnoitred the Alrlershnt Command area and motor-cycle dispatch rider 3 were held in readiness.
