Nightly exercised on the cinders at Randwiek this morning. He is still showing signs of soreness. Custodian was also slightly lame, but was all right when warmed up. ;
Heavy rain is'still hampering training, all city grass tracks being closed.
Playground showed signs of being a sick horse when he returned to his stable after winning at Kensington last week. In addition, by some means, he sti'uck his head, injuring his jaw, and one knee filled. He is now recovering.
Hall Mark and Rogilla, also Lavington, Ruach, and Johnnie' Jason have been scratched from the Metropolitan Handicap.
