Winds.—East to nnrfh; strong to gale fore* north of Kawhia and East Cape; elsewhere light to moderate, but increasing.' Barometer.— Falling slowly.
Seas.—Rough to heavy north of East Cape and rather rough-north of Cape Egmont and in parts of the Cook Strait area; otherwise smooth, to moderate. Tides.—Good north of East-Cape and moderale north of Cape ERmont; elsewhere poor.
Weather.— Cloudy to overcast and misty over the North Island with rain over, the Auckland. Province and gradually extending southwards; some flood falls likely In North Auckland and the Bay of Plenty. Fair to fine at first over the South Island, but rain extending into northern and western districts after about 21 hours. Temperatures mild.
