NEW WAREHOUSE FIRM
MACKY, LOGAN, CALDWELL
, A new company with the old- name will emerge from Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Ltd. (in liquidation), if reorganisation proposals ' now in hand are successfully carried out, states the "New Zealand Herald."
The original company, a warehouse firm which had carried on business throughout the Dominion for many years, went into voluntary liquidation at the end of 1932. Since then many of its subsidiaries and other interests' have been disposed of. Operations, however, have bqen carried on at the headquarters of the company in Auckland and the'success of these has led to the proposals for the establishment of a new enterprise. The new concern will retain the name of the original company and will have a capital, of £100,000 in £1 shares, of which 85,000 shares will be offered to the public. .In the meantime an option has been obtained from the liquidator, Mr. H. J. Mills, for the purchase of the business as .a going concern. It is proposed to exercise the option as soon as the new project is floated.' The new company will also take over the businesses of the original company at New Plymouth and Napier. The. provisional, directors are Messrs. D.. R. Caldwell, L. Griffiths, S. G. Steere, and H. J. Mills.
