DOMINION'S FLOCKS
ESTIMATE EXCEEDED
At April 30 last there were 28,640,038 sheep in the Dominion, an increase of 803,072 on the total for the preceding year. The final figures are greater by 08,268 than the estimate which was published some months ago. This year's total indicates an increase in the breeding stock of the Dominion and a change from the position two years ago, when, on account of the price's being obtained, there were very heavy killings of lamb, thus depleting the stocks. In 1030, when there was (he highest total in the last seven ypf.rs, the number of sheep was 30,841,287;
