REMARKABLE INCREASE

RUGBY, September I. Following reports that shipbuilding on tho Tyne shows a 400 per cent, improvement over last year, statistics of the Clydo shipyards showing an August ratput of 11 vessels of 33,311 tons wero .he highest for any month since October, 1930.
The trade output for the first six months of 1034 was 3G vessels of 67,786 tons, already exceeding the 1033 'total by 12,000 tons. The now 73,000-tofi Cunard-White Star liner is also under construction, and in each month since last August more tonnage has boea ordered than launched.
