TEACHING THE YOUNG
DEMONSTRATION IN MOSCOW

LONDON, Soptomber S. The "Manchester Guardian's" Moscow correspondent says that the Soviet youth showed that they wore dofenebminded when half a million of both .sexes demonstrated in the Red Squo.ro in observance of tho twentieth International Youth Day. After speoches had been delivered oxhorting tho youth to do their utmost for tho defonco of tho fatherland, ono contingent composed, of boys aged from eight to ten years, marched past, carrying wooden rifles. It was noteworthy that groups of sharpshooters comprised nearly half girls. The doraonstrators also manoeuvred models of battleships and miniature tanks across tho square.
