Island frozen meat quotations:—Down iambs,* 28-361U 7 5-8 d per Ib, 36421b 7 l-8d; crossbred lambs, 23-361b 7%d, 36-421b 6 7-Sd; second quality Jambs, average 30-311b fa 5-Sd; wethers, under 481 bo o-Bd, 4S-sGlb 5 3-Bd, 50-Gitlb 5%d, 04-721b 5 1-Sd; ewes, under 481b-«4d, 4S-561b 4d, 56-641b 3-7-Sd, 64-721b 3%d; New Zealand prime ox beef, IGO-2201b, 2 5-Bd. • ' Compjired with last week's quotations, down lamb l-8d per lb higher; crossbred lamb, 3S-421b, 1-Sd per lb higher; second quality lamb, l-8d per lb lower; wethers, 64-721b, l-8d per lb lower; others unchanged. The market is steady. The Bank of New Zealand (produce department) has received the following ad : vice from its London office as at close ot business this week:—Trade in wethers.is rather irregular. The market is short ot supplies of ewes until the next arrivals. The demand for, lambs is moderate with the market weaker for second quality; firsts remain steady. The market tor beef is dull. Trade generally slow. Wethers: light, s%d'to-5%d per lb; heavy 4%d to sd. Ewes: 3%d to'4%d. Lambs: 2's, 7d to 7%d; S's 6%d tc,B 7-8 d; 4's, 6 3-8 d to 6%d; seconds, 6 3-8 d to 7d.
