The first, of the international championships under.the new agreement with Australia was held; af Brisbane in October, and proved.a great ■■ success. In the actual Test 'only six bouts vwcre staged,' one of the New Zenlariders, It. Williams,' being ■ unable to compete through illness, and'of these- Australia won. four. Oh the second night, the New Zealanders met a -picked team, and won tho four.-bouts ..in which they competed. The international championships are to be held this year at Invorcargill, tho Southland Association having promised £300' towards the cost of the Australians' visit. , Thereafter tho international contests arc expected to be held every two years, in Australia in 1936 and New Zealand in 1935. . A RECORD PROFIT.

The 1933 Now Zealand amateur championships, -were held 'at Blenheiuij and were- al'- pronounced success.- The con-' duct of* the tournament was of high, standard, the groat team-work of the Murlborough executive resulting in a profit to the council of -£143, which was 'a record for New, Zealand' championships.; ■' •'"■' ' ■'.'. : '';:- ■•■■■;■ ■:■■ ■' ,

,; The promotion of profcssionalrbb'sing has: been' carried out mostly under payment to the boxers on a* percentage basis. An outstanding■-vfeafuvo ' has been the large:numbcr. of-litle-contests promoted, i ■Altogether .67 'professional matches' took place- during the year. :

ance trustees draw'attention to the fact that a few associations hayo failed to make contributions to tho fund, and immediate, action should .be taken,: cousiders the report, to pay outstandingfees, so that all competitors will be m a position to. benefit from the fund.
