l\ire destroyed tho Albion Hotel at Wallscnd this morning. Nothing was saved except a few personal belongings. The licensee, Mr. ,E. Moore, and his wife and her niece were the only occupants. A neighbour at 3.30 a.m; smelt something burning and found the hotel on fire. ° He aroused the occupants, who escaped. The (ire is believed to have started in the kitchen.

' Tho building was fifty years old, a wooden two-storey structure owned by the licensee.
