FOREIGN FROZEN PORK
BRITISH RESTRICTIONS
The Kew Zealand Meat .Producers' Board has received cable advice from ita London manager stating that the British Government has informed the importers oi' foreign frozen pork that their quotas for the period July-December, 1934, must be 40 per cent, less than their January- j June, 1934, imports. This will check the recent heavy increase of foreign frozen pork importations^ and ■will make a 10 per cent, reduction as.compared •with the July-December, 1933, imports. . As illustrating the recent ■■ heavy increase referred to above, the following, iigures taken from the Official Trade and Navigation Returns presented to the Imperial Barliament show the following imports of foreign frozen pork for the periods named: — 1 .
