Tha selection of the New Zealand team to play the All Blacks was discussed by the Canterbury Rugby Union last night, and it was decided to inquire from the New Zealand Rugby Union what procedure was followed in view, of the fact that two South Island selectors were indisposed at the time. Comment was mado that McLcod (Taranaki) had been chosen after having loft for Australia, and men like Mortlock and Gaffa'ney, who played well in tho trial.matches, liacl been overlooked.

One of the South Island selectors (Mr. W. Pearson) was.present, at.the .moeting of the selection committed at which".the team was chosen, he having recovered from his illness.
