The death has occurred of. Sir Edgeworth David, aged 76. His death removes one of Australia's most eminent citizens, who was distinguished both for greatness of character ami scientific achievements.
His services were in frequent demand, and were always ungrudgingly given to the Government in all matters of scientific organisation.
