Mr. George • Jacobus, president of the American Professional Golfers* Association, interviewed by the Australian Press Association, representative, emphatically denied reports that no American golfers had definitely decided to participate in the Melbourne centenary championships. He said that a team would positively be sent, and fi\re, including Paul Ruiiyan, had definitely been selected and had accepted. A sixth would be named within a week, by which timo the list would be published.

Mr. Jacobus added that he was authorised and had already niado tentative bookings for tho team to sail from San Pedro by the Mariposa on October 17.
